September 19-23

We are just on a roll. Our routines and schedule are settled and we are loving school life. We started guided reading which is exciting. Ask you student who their teacher is and what book they have been reading. Here are some other things we worked on this week:

Phonics- Short and Long a
Writing- Getting ideas and adding details
Comprehension- Story structure
Math- Subtracting to 20
Content- Our class rotates to Mrs. Detwiler and Ms. Bennington for social skills. They are learning about bullies and how to Be a Pro to Take a Stand and Lend a Hand.
Other- We are still working on our essentials and using our manners. We are reading a book called Clementine. She is a funny girl who needs to work on some of her manners.

Our class read 2,224 minutes this week. Not as much as last week, but still awesome!!! Keep reading!

The fundraiser ends today. We got a lot of packets back. Remember the walk a thon is on Tuesday at 5:30.  I will be there with Braydon and Shayelle to walk and have some dinner! We hope to see all of you there.
